BTT – National Book Week

btt button

Booking Through Thursday is a fun weekly question and answer session, based on books, of course. This week there isn’t a question but a fun bookish activity in honour of National Book Week.

Grab the closest book to you. Go to page 56. Copy the 5th sentence as your status.

I was surprised that she would call so late.

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

  1. Hmmm..wondering what the reason of the call was for. Good sentence.

  2. Nice quote! I wonder who called! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

That almost sounds like an opening sentence for something. Could actually make for an interesting short-story prompt: find a book, go to page X, sentence Y, and make that the opening line. #randomthought

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. 🙂

  3. Oh, interesting…

    I’m kind of intrigued.

  4. I don’t care for late calls.

    1. Well, in this case there was a good reason 🙂 but no, there had better be blood or death if the phone rings at midnight, lol

  5. First, thanks for looking at my BTT. I love yours…short, but sweet, where did you get it? And, finally, I’m following you now! The best part of BTT, finding new awesome blogs! 😀

    1. Thank you for the kind words. 🙂 The BTT is actually from Blood’s Voice (I’m the author) as it was what I found next to my computer this morning. Seems my son had been reading it, lol.

  6. I hope she called for a good / fun reason!

    1. Good? Yes.
      Fun? No.
Kayla is a wonderful sister and was only looking out for her ‘big brother.’ You have to read the book for that to make sense though. 😉

I am finding it difficult to determine what page 56 is, since my book is on a Kindle, but if I go to location 560

“Yeah.” She tucked her badge in her pocket. “Where’s the lingerie department?”

Also, thanks for the follow, your books look very interesting. I am following you now too!

    1. Lingerie department? Nice. What book it that from?
