A sheriff plus a nurse plus a house equals trouble…

Nurse Molly Harper has had a tough year. But when she decides to regain control of her life, buying her dream house becomes her first priority. Finding the perfect house and falling in love with it—that’s the easy part. The hard part is getting rid of the obnoxious man who thinks he’s going to be the new owner. Even if he is gorgeous. And the sheriff…

Sheriff Luke Logan needs to buy a house. Getting out of the renting game will help in the custody battle for his son, so when the perfect place pops up right on his street, he can’t believe his luck. But there’s already an offer on the table, and the woman won’t back down. Too bad she doesn’t know that he always goes after what he wants, and he has no intention of letting her have “his” house. Even if she does make him feel that he might need more than just a house to make a home…

Where were you born and where do you call home?

I was born and raised in Georgia, which is still where I call my home. I currently reside in the suburbs outside of Atlanta, and love it!

When did you first consider yourself a writer?

I’ve always been a writer, but it wasn’t until a year ago that I’ve been able to proudly tell people I was a writer and it is what I do for a living. I suppose I was a little shy. I think the 50 Shades phenomenon helped break me out of my shell.

What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up in 30 or less words, what would you say?

Bidding Wars – A sweet, heartwarming story about one house and two bidders. Only the house isn’t the only thing at stake as these two fight it out and try to keep control of their hearts.

I love reading the warnings on the blurbs for many books. If you could write a warning label for yourself as a person or an author, what would it say?

Warning: A fast paced, sexy romance writer who is ready to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride!

If you gave some of your characters an opportunity to speak for themselves, what would they say?

They’d probably tell me to give them a 5,000 word story instead of toying with them with all the sexual conflict. I love writing a good sexy scene and then a great interruption comes.

Which character speaks the loudest, to you? Do any of them clamor to be heard over the others?

The hero usually speaks the loudest. I love getting into the male point of view. I like the language that I use and the thought process. I have no idea how unique it is to a real mans, but I like to think I hit it spot on!

Do your characters try to make like bunnies
and create ever more convoluted plots for you? Or do you have to coax them out of your characters?

Oh, they make like bunnies. I don’t often try to outline, but even when I do, they go off on their own tangents. Especially NOT JUST FRIENDS (Brookfield 3). That was full of twists and turns! I had a hard time keeping up!

Have you based any of your characters on someone you know, or real events in your own life?

There is always a little piece of me in all my stories. Many times its something one of my characters is struggling with and I work through it with them.

How did you come up with the title?

Me and titles don’t get along. I usually ask for a little help from friends.

Do you have plans for a new book?   Is this book part of a series?

I’ve written the next book in the series Love Strikes. Bidding Wars is book one and It Must Be Fate will hopefully be out later this year. There will then be on more book in this series that I hope to release in 2014.

Cats or dogs?

Cats! I have 6!

White wine or red?

White!

Coffee or tea?

Coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon.

What are 4 things you never leave home without?

Cellphone, money, keys, and my kindle!
