Be Warned: spanking

Where were you born and where do you call home?

Born in central California in a small town called Merced and I currently live in Southern California. But I was a military brat and have lived in different countries and different states in the USA. Most memorable place would be the Philippines.

What or who inspired you to write? And how long have you been writing?

I started reading romance books at the age of 12 and I fell in love with them and at that early age I wanted to create characters that fell in love as well. So I have been writing for 31 years. But just became published within this year at the age of 42 (having just turned 43 last month).

When did you first consider yourself a writer?

From the moment my pen hit the page. Now I can finally say that I am an author. Smile least by my definition.

What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up in 30 or less words, what would you say?

Demon Mine just released day before yesterday, 9-12-12. The story is about two loves with a curse and finding their way to each other and breaking that curse.

How did you come up with the title?

Demon Mine was the title I came up with when the story formed in my mind and it never changed. It just felt right.

Do you have plans for a new book? Is this book part of a series?

Yes, I plan to give the secondary characters in the book their own story. There are two books planned after this one. I have already started on book 2 tentatively called For Love of a Demon.

Who designed the cover of your book?

Sour Cherry Designs designed the cover art and I am well pleased with it. Love it actually. It is hot and sexy and embodies what the story is about perfectly.

Where do you see yourself in five (5) years?

Still writing erotic stories that hopefully will thrill the romance community.

Is there an Author that you would really like to meet?

My god there are too many I would love to meet. I have had the fortune to meet some wonderful established authors from my RWA chapter in OCC. It’s been a fantastic experience.

Do you prefer ebooks, paperbacks or hardcover?

I love the written word. I love it in all forms, be that ebooks, paperbacks or hardcover.

Are you a self published (Indie) Author or big trad published?

I am a small publisher author as well as an Indie author (self-pub comes out just in time for Halloween). I find that I like both and will intermix them.

What can we expect from you in the future? ie More books of the same genre? Books of a different genre?

I am planning on more books of the same genre and those in different genres of romance.

Have you ever suffered from a "writer’s block"? What did you do to get past the "block"?

Yes, I have more times than I would like. I have more than one story to turn to if one gives me issues, always something to write.

< em>Do you write under a pen name?

Yes, Nikki Prince is my pen name. Though Nikki is my real nickname which is why I chose it as my first name in my pen name. Not ashamed to say my real name it’s just rather long, Nichelle Yvonne Scott-Williams. That is a lot to put on a book.

White wine or red?

White wine

What are 4 things you never leave home without?

iPhone, iPad, wireless router and glasses (yep I am a geek).

Laptop or desktop for writing?

Laptop writing and even iPad writing.

Two mocha lattes and a pact.

Though a decade apart in age and from different ethnic backgrounds, will their mutual love of books and addiction to mocha lattes make for one evening of pleasure or something more for geeky Ronan and Meredith?

Meri didn’t think Ronan was serious about their agreement to spend time together if both were single by her thirty-fifth birthday. After all, he was still seeing that redhead when they made the pact.

Nikki Prince is a mother of two, who’s always had a dream to be a published author in the romance genre. Her passion lies in raising her children as readers, gaming, cooking, reading and her writing. Her mother can now breathe easy about the child who used to get in trouble because she was hiding books everywhere and reading when it wasn’t appropriate. She loves to write Interracial romances in all genres, but wants to let everyone know to not box her in, because there is always room for growth.
