Can Eric, a tough, handsome Green Beret from Earth, convince Kasha, the stubborn warrior princess of Volarn, that he loves her? Not before they experience adventure in the haunted wastelands, discover a baby dragon, and explore the hot, sensual side of their relationship.

Travel back to Volarn for more magical romance and new adventure with King Rhamus’s sister, Kasha, and Olga’s brother, Eric. If you loved Love’s Captive, be enchanted with Volarn Chronicles Book Two. Find out what sad secret makes Kasha run from love. Follow the characters’ fox and hound game of love, as each pushes the other to their limits, climaxing in a dramatic rescue that changes everything. Be warned, this book is filled with humor and love that knows no bounds. And an adorable, goofy dragon that will win your heart, so that you will be asking “How do I adopt a dragon of my own!”.

What is the name of your most recent book and if you had to sum it up in 30 or less words, what would you say?

Heart of the Dragon. A Green Beret falls for a warrior princess of Volarn. She resists him, and so ensues the fox and hound relationship. Add an adorable dragon, who brings them together.

I love reading the warnings on the blurbs for many books. If you could write a warning label for yourself as a person or an author, what would it say?

I actually have one in my blurb “Be warned, this book is filled with humor and love that knows no bounds. And an adorable, goofy dragon that will win your heart, so that you will be asking “How do I adopt a dragon of my own!”.

How did you come up with the title?

Heart of the Dragon has a double meaning. Eric, a Green Beret has the heart of a dragon because he is a special forces soldier. In fact his friends nicknamed him dragon due to his fighting style. He also has a dragon tattoo on his left shoulder. And there is Puff, the dragon that Kasha & Eric find and raise.

Where do you see yourself in five (5) years?

Running Book & Trailer Showcase, building the website to more members, and the BTSeMag with large numbers of subscribers. Also being one of the best sites to offer Virtual Tours for authors.

As far as the writer side, I expect to still be writing romance, but also horror. I’ve always loved horror movies and books, and I’m expanding into that area right now. I just had a short story about a female serial killer published in House of Terrors. I’ve written several short zombie stories that I will send out when I have time, and working on a zombie novel. I’m a huge fan of The Walking Dead.

Is there an Author that you would really like to meet?

Stephen King

What books have most influenced your writing most and why?

Romance of course for the love relationships. For the s/f elements that would include Heinlien, but the s/f & fantasy elements that influenced me the most were the movies/TV shows like Star Wars and Star Trek.

I also love horror, and Stephen King and Dean Koontz are my favs. I can’t write like them, but I always have characters that seem real, and that was courtesy of reading Mr. King’s fantastic, jump-off the page characters.

How do you market/promote your books?

I place ads on different websites, occasionally in Romantic Times. Mostly I do promo through my website for authors & readers, www.booktrailershowcase.com. Books and trailers are displayed on our website for very reasonable prices. I have staff who promote every day in Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Goodreads, and Yahoogroups. At BTS, we have Facebook groups for every genre and I opened for authors to promote their works anytime they want.

We also have Virtual Tours, and this is the 2nd one I’ve done through BTS, and I’m doing another next month. It’s been a fun experience. We also started an eMagazine in April and have an amazing # of views, over 12, 400 to date (&/12/12). Our July issue came out this week and has already received over 1,100 views. The designer, Chris, patterned this issue after the clean, professional style of Romantic Times Magazine.

Have you ever read a book more than once?

Most definitely. I reread all my favorites more than twice.

Do you have a book trailer? And if so, do you want it included (need info to plug in)?

The Some Like it Hot trailer was created by my brother, Eddie Traxler. To Tame a Werewolf, was made by a friend, Dawn . Although really short, I love it. In Some Like it Hot Tony and Jennifer live a good life. Well, most of it. They’ve been married for three years and love each other deeply. But their sex life has become dull. To liven it up, they decide to bring kinky games into their relationship.

To Tame a Werewolf is about a brazen, sassy woman who wishes she could meet a man who matches her in passion. She likes nerdy, but handsome professor Connor, but she knows a beta man like him can never be a true love interest. What she thought she knew about Connor is shattered when they are caught in a storm and must wait out a blizzard. Can she tame the beast she unleased?

What is the best advice that you have ever been given when it comes to writing?

“Don’t write Futuristic Romances – they are dead.” I had written the agent of a Paranormal Romance author I admired, about my 1st novel, Love’s Captive. She sent me back that negative statement.

First, I had written over half the book. Second, I loved my story and Futuristic Romances. I understood what she said; follow the market and what readers want. But this is the story I had dreamed so vividly way back in 1977 and finally written in 1996. I wasn’t about to give it up.

Guess what? By the time I figured out what I was doing and got it published the 1st time in 2001, Futuristic Romances were hot again and still are. In 2005 New Concepts Publishing asked me to turn it into an erotic, which I did. Now, in 2012 it has been reissued with a gorgeous new cover.

Love’s Captive is in its 11th year and still going strong. It has always been my bestseller and fan favorite.

Cats or dogs?

Both, but I’m really in love with my daughter’s dog Maggie, a mini schnauzer. You can see a photo on BTS

Favourite food?

Brownies. Not really food so I guess fried chicken.

One of your favourite quotes –

It’s terrible English, but I love “Can’t never could do nothing.” This was a favorite saying of my 6th grade teacher. I didn’t understand it until I grew up and decided I wanted to accomplish certain goals in my life. I had many hard obstacles, so this became the motto I held dear to my heart.

List 3 of your all time favourite movies?

  • Lord of the Rings
  • Aliens
  • Shaun of the Dead

An actor you have a crush on –

Kirk Russell

Myra Nour grew up reading s/f, fantasy, and romance, so she was really thrilled when these elements were combined in Futuristic Romances. She enjoys writing within all these elements, whether the hero is a handsome man from another planet, or a tiny fairy from another dimension.

Myra’s background is in counseling, and she likes using her knowledge to create believable characters. She also enjoys lively dialogue and, of course, using her imagination to create other worlds with lots of action/adventure, as well as romance. She uses her handsome husband as inspiration for her heroes – he is a body builder, a soldier, and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
