When seventeen-year-old Diana recognizes an elderly priest in a video on YouTube, she realizes that reincarnation is real and that she’s been alive before! Every night in her dreams, she relives her past learning that it’s kill or be killed. Now a bishop at the Vatican whom she saved in another life calls on her once more. She is needed to help defeat evil within the catacombs of Rome. But when she arrives in Rome, she meets Alexander – the man of her dreams! Through the centuries she has loved him…betrayed him…been killed by him. Will she give him another chance or this time will she strike first?

Silver Knight is an interesting, creative, and OMG read that I’ve sat here staring at the cursor over because I’m just not sure how to review it without giving away all the best parts. LOL, issues, right. 😉

I will say the romance has some serious issues, like the fact that the demon, Alex, keeps killing our heroine, Diana, throughout time, yet loves her. Remind me not to go shopping for lovers with him around. Murder is just not my idea of an ‘I love you’. I like how my focus Caron gives to the other warriors, so we can get to know them better. I hate when characters are presented but then glossed over. Caron didn’t do that! You get to connect with each and learn about them, her, Alex, and their past.

I liked that it has well-drawn mythology and is built over well-researched history. The Biblical references messed with me a little, I just don’t get into all that, but it was done in a tasteful and logical way. I also wish we’d gotten a little more about Alex. He’s interesting and I want to see more of him and Diana! Maybe in the next book, Silver Demon, which I can’t wait to read.

My rating? 4 1/2 drops. A highly recommended read!

In the 1990s, I began teaching adults to use computer software, hardware, and networking. After several years, my clients became younger and younger until I found myself tutoring high school dropouts to pass the GED. I found working with at-risk teenagers so rewarding that I changed my undergraduate major to Education.

Upon graduating from the University of South Alabama with a B.S., I began teaching high school history and continue to teach history classes online. Always wanting to encourage students’ creativity, reading and writing skills, I have put together a collaborative storytelling effort at http://telling-tales.wikispaces.com.

I now live in rural Missouri with my two kids, two dogs, two cats, and father.
