Musing Monday (Aug. 22)

This week’s musing asks…

Do you prefer character-driven stories, or plot-driven stories?

I would have to say character-driven, honestly.  A good plot is necessary but if the characters are not engaging and engaging I won’t enjoy the story and will probably not bother to even finish the book.  I don’t waste my time on books I simply can’t ‘get in to’… and this is one of those issues.

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answer in the comments here (if you don’t have a blog).  Thanks Open-mouthed smile

  1. I agree, character believability has to be first and foremost.

    1. Believably and engaging no matter what kind of character or creature it is. Thanks for the visit

  2. I usually need a character I can fall in love with. Like when that happens!

You make a good point. I think you need both to make a good book.
